This past weekend at the Summerland Fall Fair, the local RE/MAX agency sponsored the appellation's first homegrown wine awards. The judges for the inaugural event were radio/tv personality and wine guru Terry David Mulligan, author and wine critic John Schreiner, winemaker Kelly Symonds and yours truly. In all we tasted 32 wines in 5 flights: Whites Under 10g/l RS, Whites Over 10g/l RS, Rosé/Sparkling, Red Wines and Desert Wines.
